How to Apply

To become a LifeBridge Member, apply online!

LifeBridge AmeriCorps is currently accepting applications for the 2022-2023 program year.

Opportunity

​

  • Healthy Future members will facilitate an opioid prevention program to students in grades 6-12;
     

  • Economic Opportunity members provide Money Smart financial literacy training to low-income adults in West Virginia and provide informational and referral assistance to those in need; and
     

  • VetCorps members provide peer-to-peer support for veterans and military families across the state of
    West Virginia.

​

LifeBridge AmeriCorps members provide services within their communities through service projects, information and referrals, outreach events, and so much more. Our members receive training and gain life-long marketable job skills.

Benefits

Members will serve approximately

35-40 hours per week. With a signed contract committing to one year of service, LifeBridge AmeriCorps members receive many benefits, including:

  • Living Allowance of $16,000
     

  • Educational Award $6,345
     

  • AmeriCorps Member Health Care Plan (individual member plan only)
     

  • Leadership training
     

  • Federal college loan forbearance
     

  • Childcare (income based eligibility requirements)
     

  • Travel reimbursement to LifeBridge training and events

Eligibility

To enroll in the LifeBridge AmeriCorps program, an individual must:

​

  • Be a United States citizen,
    a United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien
    of the United States

     

  • Be at least 18 years of age
     

  • Have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
     

  • Submit to a FBI criminal background check
     

  • Submit to a nation sex
    offender check

     

  • Valid Driver's License
     

  • Be a veteran or an immediate family member of a veteran
    (Vet Corps ONLY)
